Obituary - Dalton Clint ComptonDalton Clint Compton “Comp #4”, 18, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, passed away June 27, 2015, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. He was born August 3, 1996, the son of Keith and Lisa (Slabaugh) Compton.

Dalton was a member of Victory Life Church in Broken Bow. He graduated Broken Bow High School on May 16th and had signed to play short stop for Murray State. Dalton was the MVP for the 2015 season for the Broken Bow Savages. He was the recipient of the Broken Bow Dixie Youth and Texas Dixie Youth Scholarships. He was also a member of the Sunbelt Classic All-Stars for two years. Dalton was a member of the All Tournament Team, his Church League Softball Team, and Co-Ed Softball. He enjoyed weekend softball with the Reds as well. He was a team leader, offensive MVP in 2014, and he always told his coach “You know what we get to do today, Coach? Play baseball.” Dalton was #4 through out his baseball career. He enjoyed hunting, noodling, scuba diving, and spending time with friends and family. He won the 2011 Biggest Youth Fish in Okie Noodling Competition. Dalton won the best youth mount for three years in a row at the Oklahoma Taxidermy Association. He always had a smile on his face and he loved to pick on his sister, Ashley. Dalton was his sisters’ hero.

Dalton leaves to cherish his memory: his parents, Keith and Lisa Compton, sister, Ashley of the home; his papa, A.W. Slabaugh, of Broken Bow, OK; aunts and uncles, Stanley and Trish Compton, cousins, Brittany and Rustin Shrouder of Broken Bow, OK, Audrey and Jack Mills, cousins, Jennifer and Julie Mills of Eagletown, OK; Jack and Jennifer Nave, cousins, Demi, McKenzie, Jacky and Jonathan Nave of Broken Bow, OK; Bill and Debbie Claborn, of Wright City, OK; Eddie and Teresa Hill, of Wright City, OK, DeWayne and Lillie Hill, of Valliant, OK; a special friend, Megan Routh, of Eagletown, OK; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Phyllis Compton; grandmother, Pearlie Mae Slabaugh; and a beloved friend, Tyler Ray Rowan.
