
Tri-State Women’s Conference
The fifth annual Tri-State Women’s Conference will take place Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Queen City Funeral Home in Queen City Texas. This year’s theme is “Moving Forward in Life”. Registration will begin with a free continental breakfast at 8:30 am and the conference will end at 12:30 pm. This year’s classes will focus on committing to moving forward in a positive direction and will deliver the tools to make it possible. The conference is free of charge and all within the tri-state area are invited.
This year’s class line-up will be as follows:
Life Coaching
Carrie Carree is a Certified Life Coach from Pensacola FL. Last year, Carrie taught “Small Changes make Big Improvements”. Her class was so popular and successful for the attendees, that she has consented to come back for a second year.
Self Defense for Women
This class will have practical application, so be sure to watch wear comfy clothes.
Design and Publish a Free Website
This is the perfect class for businesses, organizations and people who want to get their message on the web and haven’t been able to learn how to do it. Tracy Lee will demonstrate how to design and publish your free website.
Start a Small Business
Darrel Williams of the Small Business Development Center sponsored through the Small Business Administration will provide a vast array of technical assistance to aspiring entrepreneurs. This class will give you the information you need to start that small business you’ve always dreamed of owning.
Writing and Publishing
Experienced author, Tracy Renee Lee, will teach how to write interesting and helpful books. She will also teach how to publish your books and get them in venues that will bring big sales. If you have wanted to write a book, but didn’t know where to start, this is your big chance.
The Hospice Mission
Cynthia Mullens of Texarkana Hospice will teach about the Hospice Mission and how to qualify for this important service. If you or someone you love will be considering hospice in the future, this is a great class and opportunity to learn the ins and outs of this service.
Your Hearing Health
Professional Ear Health Specialist Mike Lee will address the issues of hearing loss and the capabilities and limitations of hearing aids. He will discuss the connection of brain function, longevity, life’s engagement and isolation as related to one’s capacity to hear.
The conference will open with a presentation from TX DOT on “Saving Your Live—Avoid Distracted Driving”. Keynote speaker Bethany Gaddy of Regions Bank is a Personal Wealth Specialist and will share secrets to financial security through retirement. Christus St. Michaels of Atlanta TX will present a demonstration on proper car seat selection and installation to keep those wee ones safe.
Heaven Sent, Corp., a newly formed local non-profit who provides burial and keepsake blankets to mothers who have lost their infant and pre-term children through funeral homes who offer free burials for this difficult loss, will introduce their mission.
