Free Women’s Self-Defense Workshop
Krav Maga Global (KMG), international leader in Krav Maga training schools with schools across the globe, is taking action this November to raise awareness for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. KMG announced today that many of their schools are hosting a self defense workshop for women only on November 21, 2015. Texarkana Krav Maga is proud to take part in this initiative and host the local broadcast of this workshop. In addition to helping participants become better able to defend themselves and get in better shape along the way, KMG and Texarkana Krav Maga are committed to help fight the problem of domestic abuse, rape and other types of violence toward women and girls. They are showing kids and adults there is a fun alternative way to stay safe, be alert, and how to conduct themselves in any threatening situation.
Through physical discipline not only will individuals feel better, they will learn how to take care of their bodies. Each student will leave the workshop with increased strength, conditioning and confidence. Students of self defense programs typically improve their self-confidence, attitude, and self-esteem, giving them a better outlook on life.
By teaching women and girls how to protect themselves, Texarkana Krav Maga and Krav Maga Global will raise awareness for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and to decrease the incidents of violence against women in the years to come.
