Obituary – Don Jennings
Donithan “Don” Jennings, 78 of Texarkana, Texas formerly of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana.
He was born on November 29, 1937 in Princeton, Missouri to the late Charles Raymond “Cotton” and Gladys Irene (Wornick) Jennings and served in the United States Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother George Jennings; and a sister Bethel Keller.
Don is survived by his wife of forty six years Peggy Wilson Jennings; two sons Todd Jennings and wife Cindy, Chad Jennings and wife Marty; four grandchildren, Taylor Jennings, Nathan Jennings, Katelyn Jennings, and Emily Jennings all of Texarkana, Texas; five brothers, Robert Jennings of Houston, Chester Jennings of St. Louis, Cecil Joe Jennings, Francis Jennings, and Charles Jennings all of Mercer, Missouri; a sister Cathy Nott of Tennessee; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Ebenezer Cemetery with Bro. Fred Hunter officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., in Magnolia. Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Texarkana or to the Ebenezer Cemetery Association.
