James Bruce “Jim” Smith, age 64, of Naples, Texas, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015, in Grapevine, Texas. Jim was born July 29, 1951 in Wills Point, Texas to Bruce and Jo Nell Smith.
Jim was a construction superintendent with Denson Construction. He was a member at Liberty Baptist Church in Naples, and he was a United States Marine Corps Veteran. Jim enjoyed fishing, watching the Dallas Cowboys and Texas A&M, and spending time with his family.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Tommy Smith; and one sister, Ruthie Duggan.
Surviving family members include his wife, Cindy Smith of Naples; two sons and daughters-in-law, Josh and Audrey Smith of Frisco, and Jake and Natalie Smith of Marietta; two daughters and one son-in-law, April Smith of Dallas, and Casey and Darren Hasley of Euless; five grandchildren, Addi Mitchell, Bennett Hasley, J.D. Smith, Wesley Smith, and Knox Smith; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 28, 2015, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at Liberty Baptist Church in Naples with Bro. Kenny Polk officiating. Interment will follow at Springhill Cemetery in Naples.
