Texarkana, AR. Governor Asa Hutchinson will visit Texarkana this afternoon at 3:00 p.m. The Governor will be in town to honor AP (Advanced Placement) students at Arkansas High.
AP students at Arkansas High earn college credits while in high school by taking advanced classes in various subjects. The ceremony will be held at the “Red Wall” in the new building on the campus. Those planning to attend are encouraged to arrive early to ensure parking and seating for the event.
Governor Hutchinson has been on a tour across the state in recent months promoting his Coding efforts for Arkansas schools and honoring student achievements. Currently Arkansas is the only state requiring computer coding to be offered in public schools.
