Events October 30-November 1 for Halloween Weekend
Miller County, AR: This year Halloween will be unique because instead of tricks, many people will be worried about COVID. It goes without saying that this “Season of the Ghost and Goblins” will be like none in recent memory. Those worried about COVID are being encouraged to not let it ruin your fun. A weekend-long event is about to start at Smith Park in Miller County.
Starting Friday, October 30, and going into Sunday, November 1, Smith Park will host the Fouke Monster Halloween Bash. Admission is free and everyone is welcome. There will be onsite camping available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Keith Crabtree – the Fouke Monster – will be hosting along with Nite Callers Bigfoot Radio, William Lunsford, and Squatch Dogs.
The event will have concessions and vendors on-site with items and food for purchase. Friday and Saturday evenings will feature storytelling around the main campfire. There will be a costume contest for adults and kids. Children will be able to trick or treat in the campgrounds and there will be pinatas set up for kids and adults.
Donations are welcome and will be used to help with the upkeep of the park. Everyone is being encouraged to come out, have a good time, and remember to keep costumes and behavior appropriate for a family atmosphere. More information may be found on Facebook online.
