
City will hosts meet and greet with EPA Region 6 representative
TEXARKANA, TX– The City of Texarkana, TX will host a meet and greet with EPA Brownfields Region 6 Representative Camisha Scott on Monday, February 27th, at the Texarkana Convention Center starting at 2:00 p.m.
The EPA Brownfields Program aids communities through grants and technical assistance to assess, provide loans to clean up and reuse vacant properties. The EPA Brownfields Program also offers Job Training grants to qualifying organizations.
Scott will present information on general EPA Brownfield information, job training and other Brownfield grant opportunities that serve as valuable redevelopment tools. Her region covers Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and New Mexico.
Non-profits, government entities, universities and school districts, are among those who are eligible to receive grants through the US EPA Brownfields Program. The scope and reporting responsibility of the grants received will be that of the applying organizations.
