RESURFACING SET FOR PORTION OF US 59 IN CASS COUNTY
ATLANTA – A portion of US 59 north in Cass County is scheduled to be resurfaced soon, according to plans awarded in February by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
The project will take place just north of Queen City. “Work will take place in the northbound lanes starting at 0.2 miles north of State Loop 236 and extend to 0.5 miles south of FM 3129, an area covering over six miles,” said Texarkana Area Engineer Tommy Bruce.
RK Hall, LLC of Paris was awarded the contract with a bid of $9,089,429.
Weather permitting, work should begin in May 2023 and take about five months to complete.
