
AISD TO SEND THREE TEAMS TO STATE ARCHERY COMPETITION
Three archery teams from Atlanta Independent School District qualified for the state tournament on March 23 at the Bell County Expo Center in Belton, Texas. This is the first time all three teams have qualified.
Those qualifying at the elementary level are Tennyson Boyd, Bentley Carter, Carson Durmon, Will Hunt, Ayden James, Gage Kennington, Hannah May, Micah May, Brett McCullough, Myles McCullough, Grayson Nash, Cash Rhea, Aaron Shipp, Maddie Smith, Lillian Stanley, Fischer Thompson, Leah Walling, Mark Warnack, Chloe Williams, Emma Wittman and Elijiah Woods.

At the middle school, those who qualified are Andy Addington, Gunner Dawn, Jaxon Durmon, Gavin Garcia, Kaleigh Haskins, Weston Huett, Briana Kirkland, Jenna Kirkland, Alannah Lampshire, Adalyn McClure, Abigail Morales, Kynsleigh Paige, Easton Patterson, Logan Payne, Kenneth Smith, Serinatii Webster and Black Welborn.

From the high school, those who qualified are Trinity Adams, Austin Burger, Rickey Brown, Carson Caver, Remington Clayton, Hannah Garcia, Peyton Gaston, Trevor Greenwood, Logan Groce, Triniti Jimenez, Xavier Nash, Ryleigh Paige, Brady Partain, Aliya Shelton, Landen Terry, Autumn Titsworth, Ty Waldon and Cason Whatley.

The coaches are Misty Williams, Christy Patterson, Clay Waldon, Dalton Johnson and Serna Young.
In addition, 20 students have been named Academic Archers with the National Archery in School Program. The Academic Archer program was established to recognize student success in the classroom as well as on the archery range.
