Four States Area Small Ruminant Program Held in Miller County
Do you raise small ruminants or are you interested in learning more? Miller, Little River, Lafayette and Bowie Counties are teaming up to bring you our second annual Four States Area Small Ruminant Program, at the Four States Fair’s Ag Learning Center, located at 3700 East 50th Street, Texarkana, Arkansas. It will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2023, from 5:30 – 8:00 PM. A meal will be provided so you must call 870-779-3609, text 903-701-6084 or email [email protected] to reserve your spot.
Speakers include:
• Dr. Dan Quadros, Assistant Professor with the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture Animal Science, Small Ruminant Specialist, who will discuss Nutritional Requirements, and
• Dr. Joan Burke, Research Animal Scientist with the USDA Dale Bumpers Small Farms Research Center whose topic is Strategies for Reducing Internal Parasite Loads.
