The Libyans were happy and free. All religions with a book were allowed, and women were emancipated by Ghadafi in the 70s, with no restrictions on clothing, education, or profession. There was no Sharia law, because radical Islamists made up only 3 to 5 percent of the population – but with help from the US and NATO this tiny minority took over Libya.
